My name is Nathalie Nahmani and I created ma French Life to help the American community in France. Back in 1998, I moved to Los Angeles with my then boyfriend (now husband) David. We immediately fell in love with the laid back Californian lifestyle and we decided to hang out for a little longer. We ended up living in Los Angeles for almost 20 years. In 2017, we moved back to France to a small village in the French Alps near Grenoble.
Upon returning to France, even though my husband and I are both French, we had a hard time understanding and integrating the French system after being away for so long. French bureaucracy is definitely not for the faint of heart. This is why I created ma French Life, so I could help Americans expatriated in France. I experienced firsthand how disconcerting things can become when all the rules you knew do not apply anymore. You have to work a brand new system. My goal is to help you find your answers as best as I can. Welcome to ma French Life!
